4ever Young features John Dumelo, Jackie Appiah and Kalsoume Sinare, who recently picked the award as the best Actress in supporting Role at the ZAFAA awards in Nigeria.

DE LYTLE........ ON THE ROAD.
Music now seems to be fashion and fame to young boys of today but are those boys making it in the music industry?
I personally know duos that are making it now in the music industry without the support from any producer. Their name “De Lytle might sound small in your mind but it a mind blowing name with mind blowing songs.
I ways love to see young and talented musicians taking over the music industry especially when their music are well received and loved by numerous fans just as “De Lytle” are waving their flags high in Ghana and even beyond.
Their fans just can’t help it when the duo performs on stage with their sensational songs.
Young Little and Teddy blaze form the camp “De Lytle” with a belief to explore in the music industry and beyond.
They may not be too popular but are really making waves in the industry.
Although their hope was lost somewhere along the line, they never gave up as it was but moved on with prayers and determination.
“We started long time ago but due to circumstances, we stopped along the line” Teddy told Vibe FM.
Their popular songs “Shashiwowo” and “Georgina” has made them gain popularity in this country.
Coming up was not easy for these young boys, there were problems with producers who promised helping them out but did not heed to their promise and others helped to some point and backed out on them, meanwhile, this did not deter them from their ambition to become great musicians.
They finally decided to put their heads together to help themselves financially since there was no one to look up to for finance.
De Lytle started from GTTC senior high school. They performed shows together at schools, social gathering, and programmes among others.
They record under their own record label De Lytle in Accra and are doing well under their management.
They are in the industry for the love of music but not the money or fame although it forms part of the industry.
It not easy at all in this industry but they are still trying to make things happen the way their fans expect it to be.
“It not easy but we are doing it for our fans and our love for music” Lytle told Vibe FM.
More songs are in the pipelines so expect great things from “De Lytle” because they’ve come to stay.

Modeling in GH...... is waste of height.
Don’t mistake her from Liberia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Angola, and Rwanda among others; she is a true and a pure Ghanaian from kwmawu, bomwire blessed with a nice height to meet her dream as a professional Top model.
Ghana Representative for the 2009 face of Africa which is an African Model Competition to select the next super model, has much pain in her heart after her return to Ghana and now sees modeling in Ghana as waste of height.
“If you want to be a good model, it best to go to South Africa, America or UK because modeling in Ghana is waste of height and potential”, she told Spectator Agoro.
Although she was not the winner, her expectation was to be fixed in one of the modeling Agencies or Fashion industries to exhibit the potentials she had in her.
Benedicta Tweneboah took the risk to pose with a snake, splash various colours on herself, bath full of ice cubes and all it takes to be a model which many ladies feared to do.
She even had to go pose nude with her hands covering her private part and other girls covering her breast for her just for a pose.
At the boot camp in Kenya, they were given some dollars for phone calls but in South Africa and Tanzania, they had to buy their own dinner with that money.
“Yes we bought our own dinner when we were in South Africa and Tanzania” she said.
Out of the 24 girls selected from 16 African countries, Benedicta was one of the Top 12 ladies selected for the next super model and the last to be evicted before the top 10 were selected. M-NET was publishing everything she does until her eviction.
According to Benedicta, Multi-choice is doing everything right just that since she came back, they have not arranged with any media house to have an interview and has not pushed her to any of the advertising companies to expose her in the industry.
She is surprise up till now, she can’t even boast of belonging to any Fashion Industry or Modeling Agency which is very bad and a disgrace to her as once a representative of FOA.
“I am a freelance model and feel bad because as a representative of Ghana for the FOA, am supposed to at least have a contract from one of the advertising companies”, she said.
Her performance during the Boot Camp was perfect and she had contracts from advertising companies in Kenya, Tanzania among others such as the muscateller and Rice Master’s advert which judges even testified she was extremely good.
There are a lot of people in this country who have represented Ghana in contests but didn’t make it to the Top yet, they were highly welcomed and were made known in Ghana.
Although things didn’t go on well during the contest, she will contest again for American next Top model and wish to go far in modeling but not in Ghana.
She won’t allow her disappointment to overcome her vision to become the next African to become a super model and a great Journalist.
She just wish things will change for the next FOA contestant who will represent Ghana because it never easy at all.

SOME THINGS ARE FOR..........ADULTS ONLY
I don’t know how to break this news to readers. Weather to call it breaking news or unbelievable news.
Movie lovers will be of the same mind with me that in the Akan based movies, there are a lot of actresses who don’t speak English unless they want to make the movies lovely and jovial.
Adult only,a movie which must be carefully observed and pick a lesson out of it. Don’t wait to be told, check out Mercy Aseidu’s English in the movie.
The story is about a lady called Baaba who was brought to the city by her Auntie to help Acheampong (Psalma Adjetefio)
Because Mr Acheampong’s wife Auntie Esi (Naana Hayford) was always busy with her personal dealings, Mr Acheampong started having affair with Baaba anytime his wife is not around.
Along the line,Mr Acheampong’s son who came back from school also started having affair with Baaba after finding out that his girlfriend was a lesbian
After getting the message in the movie, one question fans have been asking is, what motivated movie Africa (Socrate Safo) to go for the title adult only, is it because of the sex scenes in it or the process where the security man was watching what belongs to adults only?

'WE ARE NOT JOKERS'
Whoever thought actors and actresses who feature in Twi movies are only jokers and thus should not be taken serious should better change that mindset now.
This is because those movies are what majority of Ghanaian homes and elsewhere
love says pretty Cecilia Gyase konamah, in an interview with Spectator Agoro last
week.
“we are the big sellers, not the Ghanaian English-spoken films,” noted the actress who is yet to make any major appearance in any English movie, having featured in many twi ones such as The Supremo, Sika Safoa War of Roses, M’adesoa, Nyame Mmere, Odo Ye Wu, Dying for Love, among others.
“Local movies are earning good earnings for the producers and that is why they are always hitting the screens with new films and actors every now and then,” she added.
The Ghana movie industry, otherwise called by some stakeholders as Ghallywood continues to make waves beyond the walls of the country in recent times.
Despite this, there also appears to be growing concern about an unfortunate development where actors (and patrons) of English films look down on those who feature in Twi productions.
This is also one concern that Cecilia thinks is unhealthy for the growth of the industry “because the fact that you speak English doesn’t make you any better than those using Twi.
“In any case, we’ve all been to school and can as well speak good English,” she said, adding that “as a people, it’s even better that we use our own language to act.” Cecilia believes to go far with acting and say the sky is her limit. Hailing from the Brong Ahafo region, she started acting not too long ago, but is ready to accept any role that is given to her.
A former winner of four different beauty pageants, including Miss Tampico, Miss SSS (at the Mpraeso Senior high School) and Miss Brong Ahafo, Cecilia said she did not enter into acting because of the money and the fame involved, “but for the love of the job.”
“As an actress, you have to put in your best deliveries if you indeed love acting,” quipped Cecilia, who is currently being managed by Highlife musicians Kaakyire Kwame Appiah’s 2KA Productions.
I DON'T FAKE MY VOICE
There are a lot of misconception about the up and coming musician, and Yfm’s presenter that he fakes his voice when singing.
He told Vibe Fm on Monday in an interview that his voice is not fake although his songs are given a bit effects.
“Why should i fake my voice, it how I speak and sing and I will never fake it”, he said.
As handsome and humble he is, he has a strong belief that God knows best and has a plan for him so he will continue to look upon his lord for directions.
Enock Nana Yaw Oduro Agyei, known in showbiz as Trigmatic is a young hip-hop musician with the aim to promote Ghanaian hip-hop songs.
Don’t mistake him as a pure Ga because of his songs and how he speaks, he bears an Ashanti name and can also speak Twi aside Ga despite the fact that he has not sang in Twi yet.
He started singing when he was very young and really admits the fact that music is part of his life, and for that matter supposes to be a musician.
“my grandmother told me whenever I hear music, I keep quite as am crying”, he added.
He has singles out which has really made it to the top in the music chat. That music include huld ya, my life, mi jolie among others.
Although music lovers love all his songs, Huld ya and my life are the most hit songs people can recognise him with.
“my life” talks about his life, the ups and downs in life, the disappointment and hardships in
life. “I use to seek help from people and was treated as servant” he said.
Trigmatic will launch an official album tomorrow to enable his fans and music lovers to
know how the cover of the album is and also meet artist as one family.
The album launch party is a party which will let people know and feel what he has for
Ghana.
He will be performing with the artist on his album such as Samini, Sarkodie, 4x4, Tinny.
among others.
“This album launch party is for Ghanaians to accept and know me as a brother.”he added
The launch will take place at Citizen Kofi (CK) in Accra.

WE KNOW POLITICS II
‘WE KNOW POLITICS II’LAUNCHED
Women should not be content with accepting positions such as being treasurer or cashiers in public and private institutions, but should also aspire to capture leadership positions to serve society.
Mr.s Juliana Azumah Mensah, Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs said this at the launch of the ‘We know politics ll’,project in Accra.
The ‘We know politics ll’ aims at creating a platform for training women from various districts to participate in politics. It was organised by the Women in law and Development (WiLDAF), Federation of Women in law (FIDA) the Gender centre and the Hunger Project.
The purpose of the launch was to increase the number of women positions in parliament and district assemblies through the support of Government, Political parties and the general public.
Mrs.Azumah Mensah said the ministry has directed district and municipal assemblies to identify 50 women to be supported to take part in the on-coming elections.
The programme coordinator of WiLDAF, Mrs.Bernice Sam, said that the project, which will last for three years, will empower and encourage women to participate in politics.
“Though women are to fight for higher positions they must categorize themselves under one political party and should be able to compete with men”, she said.
There was presentation of awards to some women advocate groups such as FIDA,WiLDAF,Gender centre, The Hunger project, local Government, ministries and 24 districts in the country.
'I'll investigate sex scandals
when pretty,up-and-coming actress Cynthia Tima Yeboah finishes her journalism education at Jayee University college in Accra, there is one thing that she would do.
she would use her pen, which is said to be mightier than the sword, to address some of the pertinent issues that has bedeviled acting and the film industry in the country and brought some actresses, 'bad names.'
At best, she would delve into investigative journalism and try to find answers to some of to some of the unfounded claims that make some film producers in the country appear as if they are pimps who trade roles for sex.
"Many people are against acting for the fact that you've to sleep with movie directors and producers before you given a role,"she said, adding that, "this could be true or false, but since no-one has been bold enough to come and say he or she has been a victim of such sexual advances by producers, some people take it and believe that you'll have to sleep with a director before you act."
"it has never happened to me, but i think it's an issue worth investigating one day so that we see the truth and save actresses from being seen as prostitutes and all that,"she noted.
Cynthia told spectator agoro on Monday that it was wrong for any person to assume that actresses are of the same character as the roles they are given in films.
"If I'm for instance given a role as a prostitute in a film, that doesn't mean i'm or could indeed be a prostitute; no!" she said ,explaining that most often than not, some movie fans have misjudged actresses based on their roles in some films.
"those are just roles and have nothing to do with us," Cynthia quipped and advised actresses to be wary of the way they sometimes dress half-naked for outings,"because this could also be the reasons why people say whatever they say about us".
Cynthia simply loves, sleeps, eats and wears acting. she has thus featured in many local done in both Twi and English, such as Asem Asa,Owuo Safoa,The Supremo, Kyeiwa University,Madam Moke and Obra Akwantuo, among others.

An Accra District Magistrate court last Wednesday remanded a 24-year-old hairdresser for allegedly stealing ghc450 from her boyfriend at Tesano in Accra in July this year.
The accused, Rose Cudjoe, pleaded not guilty and was admitted to a ghc 500 bail with two sureties.
Police Inspector E.Ayensu-Danso told the court that, complainant; Sheriff Mohammed is a car sprayer at Tesano whilst accused Rose Cudjoe is a Hairdresser and a girlfriend to complainant living in the same room.

Sheriff gave Ghc50.00 to Rose and left for work. On his return, he discovered that his brief-case in the room had been tampered with and Ghc 450 had been stolen from it.
He suspected Rose and made a report to the Police alleging that the accused recorded what she had done on his phone, confirming she broke the brief-case and stole the money.

Rose denied and said she wrote the note and recordings under duress because complainant threatened to stab her with a knife if she failed to do so.
After investigations, accused was charged with the offence.
She will appear again on September 15.
No Chop Money,No Sex

"Cats and Dogs" entice Kids
The Silverbird Cinema, located within the sprawling Accra Mail, recorded yet another history when it premiered the ‘cats & Dogs’ last week Friday, August 13.
Premiering of films may not be new development in the country’s entertainment industry in recent times, but doing it for the kids is!
And, that is probably why hordes of children, parents and entertainment enthusiasts thronged the cinema to savor the experience that came with the premiering of the ‘Cats & Dogs’, an animation-inspired film for kids.
The ‘Cats & Dogs’ shows a historic alliance of cats and dogs who joined forces to fight the threat pose to them by humans, in an artistic blend of live action, state-of-the-art puppetry and computer animation.
The main idea of the premiering was to make kids feel special, loved and cared for, as they were treated to a red-carpet treatment.
Gisela Gab, a marketing executive of the cinema, told spectator Agoro that ‘silverbird wants to meet the needs of both adults and kids, so this is the first of those plans to cater for our lovely kids’.
She added that ‘this is not going to be nine-day wonder’ and that next time we have another one, it’ll be in grand style because the carpet will be spread from the main entrance of the mail to the entrance of the silverbird cinema.
I will serve GH through music..........Okyeame
Ghanaians must be wondering why the Rap Dacta has not released any album for the past two years, although he features some musicians.
His dream was to become a professional musician, and has achieved half of his dreams as a professional musician although his parents wanted him to be a Doctor.
After his four albums with okyeame Quophi, he came out with his own three albums which still runs through the ears of Okyeame’s fans and loved ones as the only best rapper alive.
Kwame Nsiah Appau, known in showbiz as Okyeame Kwame, has a great idea to impart into Ghanaians, especially the up and coming musicians,”i will serve Ghana through Music as my National Service “he told Vibe Fm, after he recently graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
According to Kwame, the University has helped him change his perception about education, academic, people and even how to operate within time. As a graduate who majored in Akan, he believes the Knowledge about his study at the university will change his way of rapping and also improve on his fellow musicians as they listen to his lyrics.
Kwame, the indeed rap Dacta, chose the topic”Hip-life as a dietetic phenomenal” as his project work. It explains how lyrics in hip life are advisable and should be advisable. He assume most rappers and musicians misuse words in their lyrics without their knowledge so, he interns to impart what he learnt through music for others to pick up. He believes the more you listen, the more you know since he can’t walk to a musician to correct them.
Now, no stress, no pressure, no lectures, no learning it all for music this time,Kwame is preparing very busily and seriously to hit town with another album which the album is not certainly confirmed but could be clinic or the best rapper because a Doctor works in a clinic or at the hospital.”i want to have a hundred features in a hundred days “he told Vibe Fm.

Handsome-looking musician Hengry Agyekum Chemphe, known simply in showbiz circles as Chemphe, has discounted rumors that he chases women lot.

Chemphe, who said this in an interview with spectator Agoro last Saturday, was emphatic that people had seen him in the company of Mimi and Vicky on countless occasions,'none of them is my lover or girlfriend as some people put it.'
Is is not out of order for some women get attracted to handsome men,but the case of Chemphe may come with it's won melodrama especially when secular musicians are generally presumed to like or love ladies a lot.

However,at the end of the contest, the Agyazie Brother(consisting of two friends Samuel Bondzie and Abraham Agyapong)emerged the winners of the ultimate prizes of a whopping ghc2000 cash prize plus a ghc 2000 worth scholarship.
12-year old Nana Yaa Gyimah, the first runner-up,grabbed a cool ghc`500,while the second runner-up,Ewurama Adua Kandifo, who endeared herself to the audiences as a rock dancer, also danced her way through with a GHC 100.
Additionally, the three top finalist were presented with other prizes, such as scholarships,14-inch television sets, laptops,DVD player, six yards pieces each of cloth and energy drinks, among others. The five remaining contestants also received other consolation prizes.
An initiative of TV Africa, the Amazing child show had the backing of many sponsors including Melgrep,NIIT, E-toys and more,Aya discount,Kraft hospitality and smart Energy Drinks.
UNETHICAL PRACTICES IN SIM CARD REGISTRATION
some are adopting clever means to collect money from the subscribers before or after registering their Sim cards.one wonders whether they are not paid for registering customers.
Those agents who register from house to house are the best known culprits.
They collect ghc 1 or 50 pesewas from subscribers. This is happening at places including Makola Market,Kotobabi and Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
I am pleading with the various communication companies to advise these agents to desist from such unhealthy practices.
The companies must send field officers to monitor the work of the agents in order not to tarnish the image of such a noble programme.

BEWARE OF FACEBOOK LOVE
The Introduction of Internet has come to complement other mass media channels to inform, educates and entertain the living .It has made transaction very comfortable and convenient to many Organization, Companies among others.it is helping students to have access to research , sending and receiving letters within minute by the help of e- mails.
Sites such as Facebook Twitter Youtube H15,Yahoo chats and Yahoo Messenger among others enable users to communicate faster and easier. Some even help users to watch themselves as they are chatting which is the web camera 0r web cam. Some of the youth of today are so addicted to Facebook and Yahoo Messenger to the extent of searching for lovers on-line .YES!!!But is that the best place to search for a lover?if indeed one cannot tell where to find real love then users should be extra careful about how they go about issues on Facebook.
Pictures or written information on the person's profile can't tell who or what the person really is.Our ladies are the main victims because they easily fall for the lies these Facebook guys tell them.
They chat with a guy for about one month or two weeks and he wants to go out or date them. Some of these ladies do not take time to investigate the background of the person but just jump into their beds.
What do we hear nowadays?guys sending out videos of girls or ladies after sleeping with them. There is a saying that when the one in front falls in a pit, those behind should take precaution, but are the ladies advising themselves?
It really fun chatting on Facebook and others but must one try even falling in love with those we chat with? The fact that someone was lucky to meet the right one through Facebook does not mean you will also be fortunate.
Many ladies break-up with their loved ones because of Facebook love. Some guys even ask ladies to show them nude pictures or even use the webcam to show their naked bodies which is very bad.How can you allow a man you hardly know view your nakedness or make love with you?I keep asking myself questions and cannot find reasons why precious ladies engage themselves in this immoral practice.
Please, let's be watchful about the way we relate to these Facebook guys because one may not know who he or she is dealing with.It would be that they want to tarnish people's image.

Selasi Ocloo(Kofi),Daniel Sobah(Kojo)and Cornelius Phanthomas(Kobby)are the real names of the famous, young and talented musicians called Rana.
Rana, the trio Afro-pop singers met at St.Augustine's college, where their dream begun. Over the years, they nurtured this dream and today, they have become household name.
The real name is pronounced "Rana", in Hausa language, means "sun". The Afro-pop musicians chose their names Rana with the belief that names imprint on people's mind.
The name Rana goes beyond to shine their vision, and for the fact that sun shines every where and it felt by everyone, the group decided to adopt the names to portray their all-pervasive character. "we all need the sun ,we want our career to be everywhere so that for everything bordering on entertainment, you need Rana,"the group said in an interview.
The trio are responsible for the soul-touching rendition, "Baby baby, i love you,"a hot favorite of the airwaves. But suffice it to say that Rana is about to launch a series of hit-singles including "Baby baby, koliko," love letter among others , under the famous Appietus label, creative records.
Superseding those singles will be the real mind-blower title-tracks X-Factor"(l.O.K ) which will be recorded under their own record label, storm house entertainment. It will be out before the year ends. "This album will be out before the year end Isha Allah," said Kofi Rana. They explained that they were finally moving from creative records because things have not moved at the pace they wanted.

THE SPLASH YOGHURT EXPERIENCE
A lot of young university graduates have great business ideas but lack the the wherewithal to put their thoughts into action.
Others also think that, the only way they can succeed in life is to get a white collar job. However,a 25-year-old biochemist who is a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST),has proved that is possible to succeed in life without looking to the formal sector for employment.
Ayesha Adam Hadir, a Muslim woman, who set up her own yogurt processing factory, named Splash Foods Processing Ventures whilst in the third year at the University, believes that everything is possible.
"Young graduates needn't sit idle at home doing nothing"start something, she told the Spectator,at her factory located at Awoshie,in Accra.
She says that even if you get employed anywhere, you can still do your own business on the side. After a semester's course on 'fermentation',and her younger sister's craving the fresh yogurt which she always bought for her and the family, coupled with her theoretical knowledge in yogurt preparation, she tried her hands at it in her mother's kitchen.
The outcome,of her try was horrible so she contacted those already in the industry but failed to show her the trick. She then called her lecturer,to share her frustrations with him and seek advice.
What spurred Ayesha on was this statement from Dr.l.W.Ofosu,"fermentation is not an art and not a science."she kept trying until she had it right.
Ayesha started with only 10 bottles, sent them to a friend's mum's shop for sale. Her father,Alhaji Hadir Adam, saw the potentials in the business and offered her 100 us dollars. With that money, she bought the needed items and moved to her mother's shop.
After production, she will board,"trotro",and do the distribution herself.Soon, her vacation was over.
Ayesha produces yogurt in vanilla, strawberry, pineapple and lemon flavors. She has just launched her new product,'millet consisting of yogurt and millet which tastes so good.
Ayesha has a food Handlers Certificates from Accra Metropolitan Assembly(AMA),and her range of products have been certified by Ghana Standard Board. They also follow strict health practices.
Her products are distributed to various Hotels and Supermarkets around the city of Accra and she intends expanding her market soon.
The production of Splash Yogurt began in 2006,during her third year at the University.By then, she had trained her Mum,Hajia Jamila Omar and a few aunties to take over the job whilst she also started production in school.
It was through the support of a room's boyfriend nicknamed Splash, who did aggressive marketing on campus, whom the yogurt was named after, that the product saw light.
By the time she returned from school, her mother had saved enough to repair an accident car her father had offered to her business. She improved the quality of the production.
Her work with Food and Drugs Boards after school and with Golden Tulip,Kumasi city as Food safety supervisor for a year, gave her wealth of experience.
Due to the divided attention for splash and her job at Kumasi, she quit to focus on her business.
Ayesha received an interest-free loan to inject into her business. With that, she built a cold-room and purchased tricycle for distribution of her products.
'Fresh yogurt helps her improve one's immune system:helps prevent cancer. Those with lactose intolerance can be put on fresh yogurt for between three to six months as treatment",she said.
Splash Foods Processing faces high cost of electricity, distribution in its supply and machinery constraints.
Processing machine to process milk into yogurt is being built to augment those available.
Ayesha ensures there is continuous supervision at her factory as people will always do what you inspect and not what you expect.
She is a member of the Ghana Muslim Academy,a group of Muslim intellectuals, who mentor and teach the youth during vacations.
In future, she hopes to produce her own raw materials and establish a school to train the youth in ice cream, soya milk and yogurt making.
Ayesha holds a certificate in Quality Assurance and has attended several training programmes. She believes that the yogurt market is big.

PAA BOATENG DROPS'KOKROKOO
It common these days to find young gospel musicians,no doubt about it.Every musician has a motive and challenges.
Young and talented kumasi-based gospel sensation,Paa Boateng, started as an instrumentalist until he discovered his talent and love as singer at age nine.
At the age of 15,he came out with the album,Onyame ba,which had eight sensational tracks, including Nkuguo,Me hia agyenkwa and M'aso ne mu,all under New Age Records in 2006.
In 2007,after he had completed his Junior High School(JHS)education,he came out with his second album,Ohia Abaaba, which also had eight hit tracks, such as Maye Hyira and OyeOnyame, among others, with the same producer,Mr.Eric Apreko Gyamfi,CEO of New Age Ventures.
Paa Boateng, the last born of the late Rev.John Jude Mensah and the late Jemima Agyenim Boateng, belives he was anointed by God to do his work. And,this may partly account for why everyone who hears his songs onders how'a young boy'could sing this way'.
After his second album,Paa embarked on a tour in Europe to minister the word of God through music and thus performed with the likes of Christiana Love,Ernest Opoku,Ohemaa Mercy and Kwaku Gyasi.
"i've been silent for the past three years because i was ministering the word of God through music and also, scheduled my time for music according to my calender",he said.
But,he is now out with his third album titled Kokrokoo which seeks to adore how great God is."We must worship and praise God because even cocks are praising him",remarked Paa in an interview with Spectator Agoro, last Thursday.
Some of the songs on the nine-track album are Yie ne adoye and Aseda. He admires musicians like Ohemaa Mercy,Christiana Love,Jane and Bernice,Soul Winners,Oware Junior but do not wish to be exactly like them.
"i like them but don't want to be myself",he told Spectator Agoro.
Although he is a gospel musician, he really enjoys listening to musicians like Echo,Obrafour,Praye,Asem,Richie and Okyeame Kwame.

MISS MALIAKA'10 TAKES OFF
The search for who takes the baton from Miss Gezelle Addai, winner of last year’s Miss Malaika Beauty pageant, kicked off last Friday night at the Royal Richester Hotel in Accra.Sixteen (16) pretty ladies, aged between 18 and 25, were unveiled as the contestants to ‘battle’ for the ultimate this year, which are a brand new KIA car, the opportunity to become the country’s ambassador of Malaika and other souvenirs. One after the other, the glamorous ladies lined up on a dais set up for that purpose, having earlier delivered snippets of riveting catwalks to the admiration of their patrons. This year’s event will be the eighth season of the pageantry since 2002 when it was introduced by CharterHouse, and the contestants will be housed for the next 13 weeks at the Royal Richester Hotel to work their ways out to the crown.Since a high premium is placed on intelligence in determining who becomes the next queen, the contestants throughout the season will undergo drills in varying forms, to determine their eloquence, elegance, intelligence-quotient (IQ) and self-confidence.There will also be cooking sections, alongside grooming sections to improve their public-speaking capabilities. As an early indication of their preparedness for the season, the contestants wowed their audiences when they exhibited their talent in styles during a fashion show with clothes designed by renowned designers in Ghana.Launching the event, Ms. Anitabel Asante, an Event Manager at CharterHouse, explained that the “motive behind this contest is to give young ladies the platform to show their talents and the ideas they have for the country.”
LISTEN TO STORIES OF REMAND CHILDREN
I write with pain in my heart about the issue of children in remand homes. Many people have the perception that every child at the remand home is a bad child, which could be true but i strongly believe there are some there who have sad reasons for ending up there.
some ended there because of the treatment they received at home either through maltreatment or a rape case, among others.
Also, parents send their wards there for them to be reformed because of the way they behave towards their parents.
In 2003,there was a case of a girl who was sent to the remand home by a business women who plies between Ghana and Nigeria. The woman met this poor girl stranded somewhere on her way to book her ticket for the next car.
She questioned the girl and got to know that she was brought up by her step-mother's friend who tired to sell her to someone else,so she ran from the woman's house to the station.she was brought to Ghana and was sent to the remand home.
There are a lot of innocent children at the remand homes whose stories need to be listened to.
I am pleading with Ministry of women and children Affair to come to the aid of these innocent children.

GO FOR MOVIETASTIC
“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy,” goes a popular, age-old maxim. One cannot work all day without cutting down stress. There are interesting places to relax and have fun in Ghana. Nevertheless, there is only one name which many people, particularly those with class, trust as their bet to watch movies. It’s obviously the Silverbird Cinema, located inside the sprawling Accra Shopping Mall.Silverbird Entertainment Ghana, a joint venture between Silverbird and Global Media Alliance, can boast of excellent locations in Kenya, with 18 screens at the five other premier shopping centers on the continent. At the Silverbird Cinemas in the country, costumers enjoy nothing less of professional treatment and state-of-the-art facilities fitted to five cinema halls to make watching movies pleasurable. The cinema shows movies on super-giant screens every day from 10:30 am till 12 o’clock midnight. The cinema also have in stock, movies for kids, couples, young and adults, from local to continental blockbusters. There is also the Movietastic Tuesday, where Silverbird collaborates with Zain telecommunications network to reward their loyal customers with tickets to watch movies every Tuesday.Raffles are also held, where lucky winners are randomly awarded souvenirs and other exciting prizes. This is what Carmen Bruce-Annan, the head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs, regards as “unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing experience with Movietastic, where you also choose the movies you like to watch.“Don’t be left out!”
DRESS TO KILL
Does marriage mean women can't dress neatly and attractively at home and even at work?
I say NO to that perception because as soon as you get married, you have to dress to look sharp and presentable to honour your husband especially.
This should also serve as an example to young ladies or those who are getting into marriage. Many people are at the opinoin that married women should ofen wear traditional slit and kaba,an African print or long dress to cover their bodies, but i protest.
Married Women can wear any attractive but decent dress at anytime especially at home and work.
Some married women just wear dress which are not presentable or even attractive. They leave their hair so unkempt and mistyled at times, friends and relatives try to advice them but they question if they are now searching for husbands. This behaviour drives away men because most men are attracted by what they see.
When married men see young and funshionable ladies, some are easily attracted to them and end up going out or going out or dating them. They tend to neglect their wives and spend so much on these young ladies.
Even when they are supposed to go for a funchion with their wives, they rather prefer these young ladies because their wives can't dress neatly and attractively and no man will love to go to function who will disgrace him with her dressing, because many men loves to be praised. Most married women dont know how to dress appropriately. They have a misconception that since you are married, dressing is not all that needed.
As sooon as married me start to date a fashionable or a lady who dress appropriately, they reduce the amount of house-keeping money meant for their wives and children to the young ladies.
Dressing appropriately means married women should know which dress will be suitable or acceptable for a particular circumstance or occasions. Most married women are fond of putting on cover cloth on their waist and even in the bedroom while they are about to sleep.
Instead of wearing night wears or something suitable for sleeping, they wear attires which are not suitable for bedrooms.
Most people blame and insult men for chasing after young ladies while married without finding reasons why it happens that way.
As we are learning to dress to kill husbands, let's also learn how to treat our husbands well because no man will love to be with a rude, nagging and discouraging woman.
Iam pleading with married married women to dress attractively but decently and also respect their hhusbands at home and even outside to make their husbands proud and maintain them to reduce the rate at which broken homes are occurring in societies.
CHECK CAR BOOTH TOO
I want to alert the Inpector General of Police (IGP)on some of the mistakes the policemen commit.I have observed that most policemen do not check car booths and even the inside of the cars. They only check the licence and other parts of the cars as to whether they are in order or not.I am not protesting against thier inspection but it will be more useful to check car booth especially at night. It has also come to my notice that whenever the policemen stop a car, they use thier torch -light to look inside the car and justask them to drive on.Sometimes, they do not check some people's cars or licence .They just say "oh boss how"and that's all.How will they know if there's any dangerious item or stolen goods in the car?Whenever i see that situation,i just feel like questioning them but there is no way i can try that since they are supposed to know better.I wonder if they can determine a criminal by using their tourch to look at the faces.I have also noticed that the policemen sometimes do not stop flasy cars and i do not know why they do that. How will these policemen know if someone inside needs rescue or whether there is a dead body in the booth of the car? This issue is very dear to my heart because i have witnessed it many times.Since no one is above the law,it will better if the policemen check on Government officials.Iwill be happy if the IGP,does somthing about this issue.

ROBBERS OPERATING FROM AWUDOME CEMETERY
i sometimes argue with people who sit back home to criticize policemen until i recently witnessed one case.I always know the Police were suppose to protect us while we also report criminals or even cases beyond our power to them. Recently,a young lady's bag was snatched around Awudome leading to Royal house Chapel.Because the place was a bit dark, robbers hide in the cemetery to snatch people's bag. When the Lady reported the case to two policemen passing by,all they could say was"what were you doing around that place at this time"and even went to an extend of saying "if am given all the big guns in the world,i will never go to that place". Even at the incident, there were two Policemen standing around the Barclays Bank while the victim cried for help but none came to her aid.All the policemen could say was they were not assigned to Patrol over that place.I am appealing to the interior ministry, the Inspector General of Police and the National Security to come to our aid.
WHERE ARE THE MEN?
It about time we voice out problems Single Parents go through.it seems Ghana is so relaxed patterning the issues of Single Parenting. To be a sole provider for your children is never easy at all especially when it comes to a point women feel very cheated and lonely than it generates to insults and sometimes hatred on the children because of what the man did to the woman. One can not tell whom the fault came from but no matter the case,it takes two to make babies so it should also take two to cater for the children unless may be the man is dead but what do we see and hear?Men just neglect the children and even deprive them the fatherly love.all the responsibilities is left on the women alone. At times, women look foradditional source of income in order to cater for the family s needs.they play both the role of mother and father.Due to this, most children go through severe agony which sometime generates hatred for Men and even hatred for their own father. From research made, the benefits, tax credits and all related government rewards are given to the woman since April 2003 in united Kingdom and with this Practice, under no circumstance will a man abandon a child as it easily done in this country. This issue pertaining to Single Parenting always makes me sad because it becoming part of Ghanaian.I therefore plead on Government to take actions or implement a policy pertaining to this issues of Single Parenting since it affect both Women and Children
LETS ENSURE CLEAN ENVIRONMENT
Ghanaian always want the country to be clean without setting good example themselves for others to follow. The Zoomlion Company is doing its best to put the country in a good shape but individuals would still keep the country dirty.Everyone seems to be innocent about the dirt in our community.Talking about dirt in our community comes to mind the pure water waste, the fanice among others which flies on the street, ending up choking the gutters. After drinking water we must give the waste back to the seller or drop it in a waste bin if around or even put it in our bags and drop it at our destination.Because sellers of pure water and these fanice sellers perceive Zoomlion as being responsible for cleaning the street, they just drop their waste on the street after selling.some trotro mates and drivers also park beside the road to clean their cars only to throw the rubbish from their cars onto the street and leave them. I think if Government introduces a recycling machines it will help the communities to be clean and even create jobs for the youth.Waste items such as pure water rubbers or fan milk product waste among others can never rot no matter the years it takes on the land. Thousand of people are losing lives and properties due to floods and i strongly believe if we all come together to keep our communities clean,we will always have no problems during raining seasons or even be free from flood. The question on board is Who litters the street? Is it the Seller, driver or the final Consumer? And who ensures we live in a neat and clean community?
